Welcome to

GWRRA

The Gold Wing Road Riders Association is the world’s largest single-marque social organization for owners and riders of Honda Gold Wing/Valkyrie motorcycles – and some would say, the world’s largest family. Dedicated to our motto, Friends for Fun Safety and Knowledge, GWRRA members enjoy the freedom of belonging to a not-for-profit, non-religious and non-political organization.

Founded in 1977, GWRRA has grown to more than 80,000 U.S., Canadian and international members in 53 foreign countries in just 27 years. Over 800 active Chapters are managed by 4,000 volunteer leaders working with members to foster safe, enjoyable riding while also working to improve the public image of motorcycling.

We are the local chapter of GWRRA located in Pleasanton, CA. Although we are mainly Gold Wing riders, we welcome all motorcyclists regardless of make or model of their ride. We are a diverse group from all backgrounds who come together to share our passion for motorcycling.

If you’re looking for a group that loves to ride, enjoy social gatherings and has a strong commitment to motorcycle safety then please come and join us during one of our breakfast meetings. You can get to know our family and also give us a chance to get to know you.

Safety and Knowledge go hand in hand. And as a member, you’ll have access to all that our association has to offer, including eligibility for enrollment into GWRRA’s Rider Education Program. It’s a multi-level program designed to progressively provide you with the skill and knowledge to being a safer rider. We also hold periodic parking lot practices to help you hone your technical skills on the bike. Group Riding courses help put in place a mental habit of safety for ourselves and for those we ride along with. Road Captain seminars can provide you with the skills to lead a group or be a safety “drag” rider assisting the group lead.

The other side of our motto is “Friends for Fun”. We like to have fun too. Our breakfast gatherings can be a lot of laughs, but we also have many other activities that include a scheduled ride after the meeting. This can be a “destination” ride for the purpose of enjoying the destination’s unique offering; or just a ride to enjoy our areas many beautiful open roads. We also schedule weekend overnighters for the more distant destinations and any excuse for a BBQ are always fun and much more.

So, if you’re new to GWRRA and are looking to join a local Chapter or just a motorcycle enthusiast looking to join a sociable group, then please come and join our gathering. Get to know our members and join in on the fun. We gather on the third Saturday of every month at Black Bear Diner located in Pleasanton, CA.
